FAQ

Everything you need to know

  • What are the requirements for daycare and boarding?

All guests must complete a New Dog Evaluation prior to booking.

Up-to-date vaccinations (Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella, Leptospirosis, and Rabies and Flea Treatment) are strictly required before any appointment.

Dogs must be spayed or neutered if they are over 1 year of age.

  • What is the check-in and drop-off process?

All pet parents must remain in the lobby during pick-up and drop-off.

Please do not enter the playrooms or outdoor backyard areas.

Ring the front bell or call us at 970-258-3400 upon arrival to alert staff.

  • How far in advance do I need to book?

We encourage reserving your spot by at least the night before your visit.

Drop-in reservations made with 2 hours or less notice will incur a $10 last-minute fee.

Holiday boarding fills up fast and is subject to holiday surcharges, so we recommend booking as early as possible.

  • What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Boarding: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled service to receive a full 100% refund.

Daycare: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service to receive a full 100% refund.

Cancellations made outside these windows are not eligible for a refund.

  • What happens if I am late for pick-up?

We offer a 15-minute grace period past your scheduled pick-up time.

Exceeding the grace period results in an automatic rate adjustment:

    • Express (2-Hour Play) extended  adjusted to the Half Day rate.
    • Half Day (extending past 6 hours)  adjusted to the Full Day rate.
    • 15+ minutes past facility closing  your dog will automatically be boarded overnight (standard boarding rates apply).

  • What should I bring for boarding stays?

Please bring your dog's regular food for their stay.

If you prefer that we provide meals, a daily house-food fee will apply.

  • What is your safety and behavior policy?

The safety of all dogs and staff is our top priority.

We reserve the right to decline service or request that aggressive dogs do not return.

  • Can I tour the facility before booking?

We do not offer walk-through tours inside our play areas. Introducing unfamiliar visitors into the play space riles up the dog packs and creates unnecessary stress for the animals. Additionally, our insurance policy restricts non-staff members from entering the active care and play areas.

However, we welcome you to visit our lobby! We have large observation windows so you can clearly see the facility, observe the play spaces, and check out the environment in action.

  • What is your emergency plan if a dog gets sick or injured while in your care?

Immediate Care & Isolation: If a dog shows signs of sudden illness or injury, our staff will immediately remove them from the play group to a quiet, safe isolation space to keep them calm and comfortable while performing first aid.

Owner Notification: We will contact you (or your designated emergency contact) right away to provide a clear update on your dog's condition and discuss next steps.

Veterinary Care: If immediate professional medical attention is required, we will transport your dog directly to a trusted local veterinary clinic or emergency animal hospital in Montrose.

Prior Consent & Records: We keep your primary veterinarian's information and emergency authorization on file so treatment can begin without delay in urgent situations.
